There is a differrence. When warning shots are fired and you keep coming, it evolves into you getting shot at.
Having now seen the video do you still believe that those were warning shots, or the sort of casual weapon discharges that all soldiers take part in, purely for fun and amusement? – Nermal

Where’s he off to after this then?

Used to be an RAF one, the cheatline is a give away. Could have been a flying test bed for the Rolls Royce RB211 with the registration G-AXLR, but don’t quote me on that.;) – Nermal
Especially the bit where it says one car was warned so much that it swerved off the road and crashed when hit by bullets. Surely there is a difference between warning shots and getting shot at? – Nermal

Why is “sky marshall” in the thread title in inverted commas? Was there a thought that he wasn’t legal, or that he might have just been a traveling law enforcement officer who’d forgoten to hand his weapon over or something? – Nermal
An old man once told me that British interests were attacked before Pearl Harbour, and because of the placing of the international date line it might even have been the day before. Any one confirm this? – Nermal
The aircraft with Churchill is definitely a Lockheed and as it is in RAF markings I would surmise it is a Ventura or Hudson. Not enough showing to be sure which.
Its a Lodestar, the RAF had a couple of dozen of them at most and those that they didn’t pass on to BOAC were based in North Africa. – Nermal
He did, but that isnt a Liberator (too few engines and the nose is too high – the Liberator was not a tail dragger. Maybe this isnt Churchill?). Maybe this was a visit that Churchill made to North Africa before it was received? – Nermal
Getting a few in today!
105 (Churchills visit) looks like a Lockheed Lodestar – Nermal
Also, whilst I’m in research mode, I’m trying to find out how to go about searching for ex war photographers.
I have had an e-mail from someone who has identical copies of 2 photos on my website. On the back on the 2 photos is a red stamp which reads ‘Official Photographer No. 102’.
Surely there must be some record somewhere that details who this photographer was.
Could depend on the area/theatre of operations/service. – Nermal

No 104 titled “battleship St. Georgia?” is actually Graf Spee – a long way from N.Africa. The same photograph is on pages 70/71 of Odhams “The First Year of War in Pictures” showing the ship burning before sinking off Montivedeo on 17th December, 1940.
Roger Smith.
So as not to confuse the matter Graf Spee was scuttled in 1939 – Nermal
