Heard a couple of reports on the radio of pensioners moaning because the free off-peak bus travel has not yet come into force. – Nermal
it is against the law to steer one handed unless using the CB
Why are truck drivers exempt when car drivers using mobile phones are not? Even police drivers are forbidden from answering the radio when driving now. – Nermal
Is it historic? How many props does it have, and will it be at Legends? – Nermal
Whats it covered in?
Not curry sauce, I can tell! – Nermal
Ah – but what did she look like? Easier on the eyes than ears?
They can do marvelous things in recording studios (even get exciting and fantastic songs to sound bland and insipid when covered by the tone deaf) and its a whole lot cheaper and immediate than plastic surgery… – Nermal
The more I read it the more I think that this was an attempt to start another flame war whilst the webmaster is off for the weekend, so that if it gets deleted he can claim more censorship or something. – Nermal
Not just a naval aircraft – the MR2 was for the RAF, but got cancelled as well.
It was expected to be an anti submarine aircraft, for use (I assume) in inshore/coastal waters and not from a carrier. Whether it ever really had a role is debatable – Nermal
Do you have any examples? – Nermal
Great pictures robert.
Seems to be a lack of pictures of these aircraft for all to see,
so i`m glad you`ve shared your photos!regards,
Ben.
Why should there be – those that were accepted weren’t in service for long and most went straight from manufacturer to storage to scrap with nothing more than flight testing and transit hours on the clock. – Nermal
OK,
How about this Question then maybe its time for the GD Forum to be axe then since it has been causing the Mods and the Webbie alot of Heart Ack.
Really this is an Aviaiton driven forum and the person problems of memebers should be in the open. It seems that the GD Forum has become a battle ground for this.
Arthor,
I think you might be suprised at how many folks might want to be a Mod if they know its only going to be for a certain length of time. Plus you must be tired of all the Flame Wars that go on the Modern Military Forum, I have a 20 spot that said you wouldn’t mind taken a break from that BS.
Look I’m not trying to start a this person isn’t doing the job lets sack him/her thing but it was ask not by me but by atleast five others including two Mods about holding new elections.
So because it upsets or annoys you, you want it removed? What happened to the legal action you were threatening the webmaster with – did it go the same way as the threats you made about the Pentagon attack several months ago? If you are not trying to start a ‘lets sack him/them’ campaign then why did you ask the question? Why are you, of all people, making assumptions or kicking up the dirt about moderators when you were banned at WIX? Is this some sort of assasination attempt on all mods who disagree with you?
Who are you? Are you anyone more or less important than the next man? – Nermal
The Hurricane marked AB832 used to be marked AP832 – both serials are from missing blocks (the AB serial was between Spitfires, the AP serial between Hurricanes) – and used to have undercarriage doors.
I thought it was AP932…;) – Nermal
Has somebody hacked in and posted as Anna? – Nermal
The nose was changed, much service gear (armour?) was said to have been removed, and various seams were apparently filled with putty (or similar) before the aircraft was polished. Hughes was said to be very taken with the Me262, so the news that he didn’t actually fly it seems surprising given his enthusiasm, – Nermal
Any news on the Lewis Wellington http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/2094410.stm, mentioned in the see also bit? – Nermal
Wasn’t Howard Hughes forbidden by the air force from racing a much lightened Me262 in a race with a P80 that might have been souped up? – Nermal
