    A bit of a bodge

But if you one cant rip off ones own picture 😀

I have no major preference either way but I have fond memories of 501 being the first Spitfire I saw with clipped wings.

I have it on good authority that it was a certain Mr Schofield in the Bearcat on Saturday.

To finish first, first you must finish. Beware of HP’s appalling taste in Jokes 😀

    Enjoy

My favourite time would be after the WWII but before the Sandys defence cuts, so many aircraft and airfields and some really interesting types, Meteors, Washingtons and the like but still many developents of WWII types stuill in service. And Britain still had a claim to be Great.

Lots of pioneering stuff going on then. Great fun!

Two people in some of the Reds cockpits. Mmm.

    Oh for gawds sake 😀

This happens every year and is part of the selection process, prospective pilots for next year(and I believe the pilots actually chosen) fly in the rear cockpit for the final few displays, this allows the pilots to “bed in” to their new jobs and is a very valuable part of the training and selection process (or so I was told a couple of years ago)

I thought this was common knowledge (even the wife knows 😮 )

IIRC the display will finish a bit after 7pm so it may be a bit of a push. Unless you want an early start the following Sunday I would suggest you drive. (although I can recomment the Breathfast at Old Warden House….twice)

    See you Sunday.
