    James

No, the display was cancelled after this years display pilot had an accident during pre-season workup.

I hope the P-51’s keep their markings for Legends, they look superb, perhaps someone has a link to George Lucas and can ask him nicely.
Incidentally, isn’t ‘Janie’ an original Tuskegee veteran?

Nope but Jumpin Jacques is, however it wasnt used for the filming as its owner wasnt keen to damage its new paintwork with a temporary finish. He did fly his P-40 for the filming however and that temporary scheme is still on the aircraft.

Incidentally, what makes you think they are going to Flying Legends?

Noise is defined as unwanted sound. At an airfield I would say if you are going flying the noise of the engine is definitely wanted sound, however the sound of a F1 car’s engine could easily be classed as unwanted. The opposite would apply at a race track.

Probably not. The BBMF are very lairy of flying formation with civilians.

    Moggy

Those days appear to have passed Moggy, they are much more amenable to mixed formations nowadays.

As for Just Jane and funding all I can say is, buy more Chickens (and Eggs).

Getting aircraft in and out of a hangar is a black art! In this case the aircraft was situated in such a way that it is easier to swing it and push it out backwards.

If you want to see how they do it, try and stay late after a show and watch the crews putting the aircraft away. I’ve been helping for years and I still havent got a clue how they do it, I just push when I am told to! 😉

No we didn’t fly today still awaiting some parts from the US. Plan now is for the 12th or 13th. Still hopeful will be ready for Duxford on the 17th.

You’ll have to fly the butt off it to get crew currency for that surely??
