Mr Moonshine, I think they are most likley off a Pratt and Whitney R-1340 Wasp from most prob Harvard or Beach type aircraft they were used in many other types as well.
Well if this ends up as being true, it would be three Lancasters at Duxford what a line-up that would make?
Then maybe they could get Just Jane on a low loader down to duxford and have three Lancasters taxi around the airfield !!!!

Soory Chaps, I think it was 1973 for some reason I have lots more to share if interested. Dad used to do his own black and white developing i was sifting through about 500 negs last night also lots of slides including the reds in gnats.

Built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd., of Kingston and Brooklands, to specification 15/36 under contract No. 527112/36. The first 430 aircraft were manufactured with fabric covered wings; the remaining 170 with metal covered wings, some aircraft later re-fitted with metal wings at Maintenance Units within the R.A.F. Aircraft deliveries commenced on the 15th December, 1937, and were completed on 6th October, 1939. L1547 was first flown on 12th October, 1937.
OK I think I have to give this one to TEMPESTNUT, its a Watts 2 blade Propeller Boss, we exacavated the remains of Hurricane L1599 in 1977, This was the 53rd production Hurricane
