I’m not taking sides here, just pointing out a fact that it was a silly war. No grand principles were at work. No conflict of ideology, whether political or religious.
So religious differences are a good reason to go to war then? :rolleyes:
I promised myself I wouldn’t get drawn into political discussions here; this is a very interesting thread that concentrates on the military aspects of this conflict and has had contributions from veterans of both sides.
You clearly have strong feelings about the conflict, as do many others, so if you want to discuss the political aspects can I suggest you start a thread on the ‘General Discussion’ board. If you do I’ll be happy to listen to you and share my views but it doesn’t sound like either of us will change our point of view. 🙂
