I just did, I repeat “The CFI was banned because he worked for the said organisation, not because he owed money”
Otherwise you are asking me to answer my own question, but if I knew the answer I would not need to ask the question. Blue Max has not answered the question either.
Sywell management are the only ones who can answer this, but so far have not done so.

Yes it is like pulling teeth, I see fellow aviators getting banned from Sywell. Sywell continuing to put on this freindly front, but no-one explaining the real reasons behind the bans.

Texantomcat, “Blue Max is not the airfield management”, I was not to know that when I asked the question. Yes I have written to the management to ask, I have not had a reply.

    Moggy

I know why some have been banned, but not all. If I knew the answer, I would not be asking the question. The CFI was banned because he worked for the said organisation, not because he owed money. Hardly a friendly thing to do.

I would agree with your comment on airfield finances, makes the banning of pilots even more difficult to understand.

My problem is with Sywell telling everyone it is friendly, but readily banning pilots from its airfield. Some of which have then been refused access to their aircraft, although there has been no financial dispute, and do not belong to any company owing money to Sywell (e.g. Bose x). But no satisfactory reason is ever put forward to explain why.

I have no personal vendetta against Sywell, and hope to continue flying from there for many years. All I asked how was how a “friendly”” airfield has banned many of my fellow pilots from Sywell.

Blue Max replied with “spread total Bo****ks”, “get a life!!!!”, and “spreading gosip” hardly a friendly approach.

If Blue Max doesn’t know why, or regretted the bans (as I do), he could have just said, instead of starting a slanging match. The fact he did these things means there is more to it than he is willing (or able) to say.

Moggy, nothing I have said is libellous, these people are banned, as Blue Max has just agreed. He has also said most of them (not all) are banned by association, that is hardly fair is it.

Sorry Blue Max but you started the slanging match by inferring I was lying, all I did was ask why 17 pilots have been banned from a ‘friendly’ airfield. You mention a certain organisation have been banned over an argument about money. So why was Bose X banned, what about a certain CFI who has trained pilots at Sywell for more than 20 years. He doesn’t owe Sywell any money, he doesn’t even have his own aircraft hangared at Sywell, but has still been banned. For the record, I have seen the letter that banned him, no hearsay or gossip, fact.

You have chosen to slag me off as your defence, but will not answer the questions raised, but choose to “not say anything further on the matter.”

Moggy C, why was that the answer you were looking for? When it is completely untrue. It can be argued only one person had a dispute about money, and it was nothing to do with him owing hangar fees for his aircraft. That still leaves 16 others.
Why do you believe Blue Max when he will not explain why pilots get banned from Sywell? I have heard from another pilot today who was threatened in a letter from Sywell to be banned, he no longer resides at Sywell, thought it better to leave before being banned. So the the Sywell Banned Club could have been 18.

    Blue Max
“All i will say is that as far as i know 17 pilot have not been banned only certain mebers of a certain group who apparently have not been paying their said hangarage”
That is ******** and completely untrue, You name the group of 17 who have not paid their hangarage.
“more to the point get your facts right before posting on here and spreading gosip”
My facts are right, it is not gossip it is the TRUTH, and I can prove it, can you?
“We have enough problems in our pastime from outside influence’s these days without s**t from the inside as well.”
All the problems at Sywell are from one man. Unfortunately his word is law. The guys in the tower, and the ground crew are good blokes and will help you whenever they can. It’s their boss who F##cks it up.

Since it was The Blue Max that said “Come and see that Sywell is a loverly grass Airfield with warm welcome waiting, not the c**P that was going around last year”. Maybe he can tell us what it is all about.

If the airfield is so friendly why has Sywell BANNED 17 pilots from using Sywell? I know no other airfield that has banned this many people.

I believe the system fitted to the Spitfire from PI Research in Cambridge.
Their systems are normally found on race cars.

    From an American forum
“Boy, remember the good old days (last month) when Mogas was cheaper than Avgas? $3.42 @ SS for 100LL here at LAL. $3.45 for 93 across the street from the FBO”

Our price works out at US$8.70 for a US gallon, and they are moaning. I wish I could fill the Yak at that price!

With the CAA paper is everything!

A comprehensive NDT check of major structural items (wing attachment points, tail assembly, engine mounts, undercarriage attachment points) replacement of engine and aileron bolts, and in our case new wings, passed the permit renewal. But no paper, so not fit to fly.

Our wonderful CAA have issued a MPD regarding the airframes. This means once the limit is reached you need permission from Yakovlev to continue to fly. We have carried out all the work required by Yak, applied for the extension last Oct, paid them $1000 this March, and we have yet to receive the necessary approval. Summers here and we are grounded. 😡

Are you being a bit harsh, as he is from Belgium would he know 0500 354 802? If you sit and read the Notams at the airfield, pages and pages, trying to find some that are relevant on your route, it is easy to miss something relevant before you fall asleep.

I converted my RAF Mk10B by changing the microphone (bought from headst services) and then making an adapter lead to go from the military connector to the standard two jack plugs.
