The was a news article i read about Ryanair grounding 7 aircraft at STN blaming BAA due to airport charges and poor facilities (Security/Passport Control ETC)

The 7 aircraft they propose to ground at STN will probably just be the aircrafts that Ryanair are getting rid of this winter

    Hi All

Sorry to go off the subject but wanted to quickly ask one question about the throttle system on the airbus A320 series aircraft.

When looking at cockpit picture of the airbus A320 posted by Charlie Echo it got me wondering.

As stupid as this may sound how does the pilot exactly engage reverse thrust. Is it just a case of pulling the TL’s back from Idle to reverse? Do any buttons have to be pressed in (Like TOGA mode)

Also (for example) if the pilot was taxing around and then he Idled the engines, would it be possible to ‘Accidentally’ pull the TL’s back to far and engage the reverse thrusters. Or is there a catch or a stop point on the levers to stop him doing this.

Sorry for the vague questions and queries.

    Dan!

Yet another fantastic post from you.

ACE has always been a place that i have wanted to visit as the likes of SXM are far out of my reach due to other commitments. With your fantastic images from ACE it has given me more reason to book up and visit what looks like one of the best places in europe to photograph aviation

    Nice one Dan πŸ™‚

    You betcha ! Here are today’s ‘sports’ results…Branson 1-0 BA (1-1 agg)

    And now for the weather….
    πŸ™‚

Please excuse my ignorance. What did BA do to Virgin to upset them?

Well at least the authorities have a sense of humour….

Β£121.5m… did anyone else notice the irony??

    TA

I didn’t. Can anyone please explain?

    Ted!

This thread is another perfect example of the high standard of pictures we have come to expect from you. Fantastic, fantastic & fantastic!!!!

With regard to one of your pictures (Overview of airport) it is quite amazing how as you say, 2 A320’s & an A310 can fit on that apron πŸ™‚

Keep up the hard work. I look forward to your next adventure somewhere around the world :p

Does anyone know if FR will expand out of LGW at all?

I know EasyJet have a substantial base already, but it would be good for Ryanair to add a few more destinations rather than just Dublin, Shannon and Cork…

Just touching on what you said, I can see Ryanair expanding out of LGW but certainly not on any established routes that EZY have. I don’t believe it to have ever been in Ryanair’s nature to directly compete with EZY.
