with arrival of MIG-29M2/MIG-35 i am sure things will change much faster. 5 missiles per wing.

Its 4 missiles per wing. Its not a Su-25 yet 🙂

Yes, Yugoslavia received 14 Mig-29B aircraft plus two 9.51 two seaters. Striped down version of Soviet standard.
Last week Russia delivered 6 Mig-29 aircraft to help Serbian airforce stay flying until better times. Those are straight from Russian inventory and is question how much they will be stripped down first, brought to a current standard of Serbian other Mig-29s, and than upgraded in near future to SM hopefully. Process is under way. First official photos will be on the 20th of this month.

Does anyone have confirmation on Syrian aircraft are already taking off from the Al Shayrat Airbase that was bombed by US last night?

I apologies if this news source is not considered solid. It is supposedly taken from reuters tweet.

Holy cow. Take a look at who called it about 5 posts up.

How did he prevent Syria jets hiding in Latakia? He attacked instantly and without warning.

I read this better than others clearly. I think a number of you guys are about to be busy 24×7 for a while? Putin is going to be very unhappy. This is the biggest slap in the face he’s ever received.

    Trump works fast.

One relatively small base. Evacuated, since missiles were flying from west. I bet you tjis is it and this is all.
No more of a big deal than last couple of bombing raids by Israel.
Seems like Syrian airspace is open fir anyone who can fly in.
Trump did this for his name and face as his big mouth got him cornered this time. He had to fire some missiles in order to survive.

Question is what he agreed with Putin as far as this goes.

I think they were testing jettison of the weapons load and the effects it has on the plane, because sometimes the situation demands the weapons to be jettisoned (not fired).

    Pozdrav!

Aha, I see. That makes sence. Weird choice for an action clip.
    Thanks.

US Hornet fighter crashes off coast of Japan, say reports

Wow, another F-18? Hope pilot is safe!

How many F-18s have crashed this year? Seems like unusually high number to me.

    Question for all:

Last night i came upon this new 46min long documentary on Sukhoi design bureau, which has a lot of interesting footage. Whish it was better edited and in HD!

At the 28:22 mark there is a Su-34 dropping what it seems to be two dumb bombs in the same time along with three KH-31(x??) missiles.

I was surprised at this to say the least so I ask you guys what you think. It is a very short clip, and it seems that Kh-31 missiles were dropped as if they were dumb bombs. Even if they were released and started falling in a very crooked fashion until the motors engaged, why would they ever be launched at the same time along with the free fall bombs?

could they be siomething other than Kh-31?

    thanks in advance
    Milos

Dissapointing news but not terribly surprising. This is the cost of lack of experience on mayor aircraft carrier war deployment. Hardware breaks and water is all arround.

I just dont get why there isnt a second safety measure after the cable. Like a safety net.

J-10 is as much a lavi as it is eurofighter

    My thoughts exactly.

Its such a waist of time to draw these “clone” parallels. You can find them then across entire 2nd, 3rd, 4th gen anes spectrum. Or among car brands.

I agree. Its dumb to call J-10 a clone of lavi unles you are joking. Its the same as calling Lavi a clone of F-16.
    Specially in case of J-10B

    I wouldn’t call J-10B a clone, but whatever.

Anyhow, J-10B wins im my opinion. Actually it stands now as one the best looking 4th gen fighters.

These couple of audio release that were put on news by Kiev on the same day of the tragedy are mind blowing to me still. Can someone explain why they are not being talked about basically on any major news. Pro or against whoever.

Voices on those audio conversations clearly state that they mistakenly shot down the plane.
Am I missing something, or remembering wrong. I could be since nobody played them or used them as any argument at all since like a week after the crash.

If they are fake, than why aren’t news agencies all over it. If they are real, then focus on that.

80 troops dead? I guess it goes to show just how effective US bombing is – when they actually manage to target the correct “enemy” forces.

Not a fair assesment. Quite rediculous one actually. It was practically a “sucker punch” to Syrian trups. They are not looking out for air strikes in that region and from that direction. They were nether defending nor hiding from those f-16s and A-10.
All other sides on the ground are both hiding and defending from air strikes, so of coarse they are very hard to kill in such numbers.
