Looks great, I’m going tomorrow.
His goon baiting sounds similar to Douglas Baders’. Probably didn’t go down too well with many of the inmates, as I believe DB’s didn’t.
Was there photographing the Drag Race yesterday…..
You could tow a trailer with the K/rad on it!
The Lanc nose was by the funfair. Facilities and loos a lot better than at Hop Farm. Food good and not too expensive, beer pricy at £4. New layout seems to in volve alot more walking, rather than walking round the venue, you often have a long walk out along a strip only to have to walk all the way back and start again, also was a nearly a mile walk from my tent to the grandstand. Still a great event, bit too hot for me though! Massive site with so much to see, I doubt you could do it in day unless super fit and jogged!
Video here..
It does look bit of a close call.
Seems a bit of a bargain to me.
If I win the lottery I am going to have you build me a whole one!
THis one would have been worth keeping..
Some pretty amazing riding there.
Has anyone got a link to any updates the He 129 Uhu that was recovered last year?.
I thought the idea was that it had be kept wet to prevent corrosion, in these pics it looks rather dry.
I’m planning on going, weather permitting, a reasonable £15 to get in and the Vulcan=winner!.
Now that the euphoria of the lifting is fading I saw these pics in the Mail
To be honest, looking at the state of it I am starting to wonder if the money could have been spent better, such as doing a proper conservation job on the museums Halifax for instance. When you look at what the Hampden is starting to look like (fantastic) imagine what could be done with the Halifax with £800k.And with the further costs of conservation on the Dornier it will probably end up costing millions, and still look the same.
