I’d be quite happy to look after the JagdPanther for a very small storage fee. :diablo:
Not that it matters…..but which side was your father on?
British.
Interesting thread. As a soldier it is your job to kill the enemy.Geneva convention says you should not shoot prisoners of war. Is a fighter pilots job to shoot down the enemy plane or kill the pilot?. As Andy Saunders said above, is a pilot in a ‘chute above enemy territory a POW, if over his own is he still a combatant?.
Personally I wouldn’t shoot a pilot in a chute no matter where he is,but in Petersons case I would have done the same.
My father told me once that they would sometimes shoot POW’s in Normandy, purely pragmatic, they couldn’t spare men to guard them and they couldn’t leave them.Much as we love the aircraft and admire the pilots we should never forget that war is very nasty and not like the films, not even the realistic ones.
It would be interesting after all the preamble to know how much the seat went for if possible and what its likely future will be.
Rather good that, catchy tune, reminds me of the old Kraftwerk/Greenslade days. Man.

Thats great!
Or black 9 depending on the pilot.
Thats cruel! :dev2:
I believe Me109 Black 6 would be flyable fairly easily.
Pilot and his Spitfire found in France..
Once again another hero will laid to rest, well done Andy.
There’s a nice Meteor cockpit section.
So they got the data plate, half way there, bolt a pair of wings onto it with a cockpit and few other bits, and bob’s yer uncle, Legends beckons!
