I know where you mean, the place with the 2 DC 3’s out front, ta.
Where is this in Thailand? I have a mate out there who is well into collecting this sort of stuff. ta
I never realised that Wing Commander Elkington was so tall! Must have been a tight squeeze in a Hurricane. Most fighter pilots, like tank crew, tend to be rather shorter in stature, rather like myself.
I particularly enjoyed this one, some fantastic images there.I am rather intrigued by the the pic of the B17 stuck on the flyover!
It’s Amelia’s, where’s TIGHAR when you need them!
The Stuka is amazing, pity the Do17 isn’t in the same condition.
Just seen this on TV, absolutely fantastic and great credit to the team at Boultbee for making this happen.
The bit where the fighters bomb the bridge!

I didn’t know there were any Vildebeests left, the last ones I saw were sweeping majestically across the plain…
He doesn’t seem to like being taken out for draggies.
I have a couple of friends who volunteer there (prob not for much longer), a total lack of any enthusiasm and funding for even small projects is stifling enthusiasm, whilst large amounts are spent on bringing in consultants. A ridiculous and rigidly enforced health and safety policy which treats treats grown men like children, the place has been taken over by museum “professionals”, they don’t care whether it’s an aviation museum or pottery one. The new boss is a left wing political quango queen with no apparent knowledge of aviation, I await developments with a heavy heart.
A good and wise man.
This happened last year.
Well said Bill.
What a great collection of airframes, thanks for posting Peter.
