And with that, I’m off to yet another meeting in the morning to discuss Auntie’s latest staff/cost cutting measures, in order that we can make even more mistakes and lessen the quality of our broadcasts. 😡

See there you go again, into a meeting with preconceived ideas and a mistrust of change. It’s all about the taxpayer getting value for money and giving the customer more choice……how many more times !
I fear you are in grave danger on not being seen as a ‘team player’ :diablo:

Must agree with you though, and the BBC coverage was really no more than we have come to expect. At least they had a go

    Bewarned!

If you live in the U.K.,your electoral information is no longer just held by your post office and local council!

It can now be viewed for free via http://www.b4u.co.uk 😡

If you dont like the idea of your information being viewed and maybe used by someone else then get on the site and get it removed!

Hope this info is of use to a few people.

Information appears to come from the 2003 Electoral Roll, none the less still a powerful bit of kit for the amateur sleuth. 😮

Don’t worry about feeling nervous, I always needed a big poo 5 minutes before the instructor was due to arrive but relaxed OK when I got behind the wheel.

That’s odd…..I only feel like that 5 minutes after the wife gets behind the wheel 😀

The Human Fly, a dare devil/stunt performer named Rick Rojatt, lives out the Marvel Comics character on the back of a DC-8 cruising low at 250 knots, flown by Clay Lacy at the Mojave California 1000 air races. Inscription is from Lacy to Mojave Airport manager Dan Sabovich. Collection of Cathy Hansen.

I don’t know anything about the store at Raydon but I do remember that the 10th TRW who parented Wethersfield for a time around this period operated a hangar at Ridgewell which was given up shortly after. I remember having a snoop around there and seeing a large number of F-4 drop tanks in storage outside.

Probably couldn’t get them inside, one T2 was full to the ceiling with drop tanks of all descriptions and the other was indeed home to green godesses, this was circa 1978/9.

Won’t have any of Murdoch’s ‘pay for’ Sh1te in my house on principal (despite the avtar) but RC’s Planes and Automobiles I can reccommend.
    http://discoverywings.co.uk/_listings/highlight2.shtml
    ( I have it on video )

He visits the birthplace of the Diesel engine and then dances to the music of a giant cathederal engine on container ship, covers 2 strokes with a chap who has a collection of the smokiest DKW motorbikes you have ever seen. Takes a look in the garage of a German fella who static rebuilds BMW 600’s from crash sites, takes a flight in an NF Meteor and toasts a marshmallow in the afterburner of an F100 Super Sabre.

Much more and all done in his inimitable style, well worth a look.

More Hornets around than usual this year, facinating things, I watched one the other day pluck a large garden spider from the middle of it’s web and fly off with it. I didn’t know they did that.
