Looks like OHB closing the canopy & ARCO’s Billy Kelly to me
It is indeed Billy and he was very surprised and pleased when I showed him the picture today. 🙂
Ah, but from the other side of the fence the grass is much greener…;)
It certainly wasn’t around this weekend as it had no undercarriage when I looked this morning…
Maybe it will be showing off soon 😉
Good grief! That must have been an interesting driving experience 😮
Chris
Once the Mk1 is flying the team can turn their attention to the real project…
Turning the MkIV nose into an electric estate car 😀
does anyone get the feel that she’s jinxed?
Very encouraging of you…
Here’s some pictures from today, hopefully…
Roobarb
my vote goes to Mk XIV RN201 in it’s silver/red markings, which is a bit strange since I normally prefer elliptical wingtips
Graeme
She gained wingtips before she left us to go stateside, so your preference is now satisfied…:)
Low back MkXIVc G-FIRE when she made her debut at Biggin Hill. Gleaming scarlet paint, strobes in the gun ports and on the cannon stubs and that cheat-line making her look just SO sleek! Of course the downside for the forum is there’s no shades of Cammo or roundel types to debate :p
Ps Does anyone know the BS or FS paint code for “Spencer Red” ? 😀
Im sure that spinner on the t9 wasnt orange before?
I know its got a different scheme

The spinner was not repainted when the rest of the T9 was last year. It’s a nice shade and HFL liked it that way, and it’s their aeroplane…;)
 Shhhhhhh Roobarb, or everyone will be wanting them! 😉
Tom
“There can be only one……………………..” 😀
Now I wonder if she has got her station keeping lights fitted in the little tank bay windows yet…….;)
It would be a shame not to have one there this year.
Steve
Well there will actually be two. One is in the Airspace building dangling on display and the other will be in Building 66 with ARC. If you take a look at the latter you might get to see the superb workmanship being put in on this restoration by Smudge and his band of helpers before I get let loose on it and cover up all their hard work with my roll of fabric and collection of sharp pointy impliments. 😮
Skytrade have all the bits plus more. Very nice people as well. 🙂
“Horses Mouth”………I can’t wait to see him tomorrow:D
Unless of course it gets broken again in a few years and they decide to revert to Mk IV for the next rebuild:rolleyes:
How very encouraging of you. Your words will go a long way in encouraging long hours given up for no financial reward by the dedicated few who have given a substantial part of their lives to getting their dream aeroplane flying………
