There was some fella taking pictures first thing. Looked like he was a Hawkwind fan :p
Yep 🙂
I believe they couldn’t afford to hire in both the Vulcan and the portaloos so something had to give and they couldn’t bear the prospect of the clear up costs in overtime if there weren’t enough toilets:D
. . . . Show me a day when the A303 hasn`t got lots of cars on it!

Tell me about it! And to think Kula Shaker wrote a song about it being so great  They must’ve been stuck bumper to bumper and out of their minds…probably!
It bugs me to think, that most of the Buchons used, are now just gathering dust in Big Springs Texas.
Well at least we have two at ARC for you to get excited about, one flying and one slightly less so at present…:)
Now, if I could just come up with an acceptable colour scheme for the latter one…;)
Staying another night as it went rather sick today. Moved to ARC so that the magic fairies can sprinkle some sparkle dust on it overnight in their secret hideaway…then it’s off to Wick and it can drip oil in a country where it’s cheap to fill it up again and no-one cares!
So, what happened to the 2 seater that was liberated from Iraq a few years ago? Anyone??
Bruce
I heard it went to Boscombe Down and then things got politically sensitive. Last heard of as a hot potato…;)
Broad chord rudder generally fitted to late war IXe aircraft as standard.
PL344 had one when restored by D Melton’s workshop but the current owner wanted a more classic shape, so he now has the rudder originally fitted to JG891- he liked the rudder so much he bought the rest of the aircraft 😀
TA805 has a small rudder but should really have the larger one, but that’s what the project came with at the time it was restored.
That’s some low pass by the P2…:D
Just gorgeous this way!
Well, yes very nice, but we don’t have the 4 blade prop or wing fences and there may be a problem carrying the wing rockets during displays:)
It would also mean that these nice images that are being posted of it in 1968 would be redundant and we do like the Battle of Britain film don’t we…;)
Thanks for the replies so far, keep them coming 🙂
Roobarb
So the other three flights were unsuccessful then……:diablo:
We were just showing you that ours is flying and yours isn’t…:p
And here…:)
I would expect that the Burmese Mk.IX, which is an ex-display airframe, would be done largely in-house.
Going back together at present…:)
Phillip read your pm’s re-pobjoy availability 🙂
I heard a rumour that it now has a permit to fly, is this true?
No its not true and no it won’t be on the line.
