Somehow I doubt it was any of their systems, probably the thing itself glitched.
The only intriguing thing they have is those new Russian ECM systems, but I’m not so sure that could have caused the thing to land. Unless link with command was disrupted, and the drone auto landed.

It must have been the slightest of glitches then. Seems like it made a feather-like landing to me.

A damaged aircraft is not a combat loss. Every single F-117 that took part in the conflict, bar 82-806, flew after the conflict. All the F-117s returned to the US under their own steam. Your claim is that the actual event was published on the front page of every Norwegian paper at the time with an image of the actual event, but you were too lazy to find it in the library.

The story about the second aircraft, has been known to me and others for more than a decade. If you only start to believe this now, there is a strong reason why you should consider yourself a fanatic.

But you also can’t win without it.

Hezbollah, proved the opposite against Israel in the last conflict in Lebanon. So, yes you can vin a war without air power.

If the USAF, USN, and USMC can only buy half of the planned numbers, there will still be more F-35 in US service than all Typhoon, Rafale, and Gripen in the entire world combined.

This is not counting the UK, Italy, Australia, Turkey, Norway, etc who will also be operating F-35.

And the US services will still be operating F-22, F-15E, and F/A-18E/F in considerable numbers.

I don’t know what you use as a measuring stick, but that seems to me to be “meaningful numbers”.

I use the same measuring stick as USAF/USN. That the F-35 is able to replace the F16/18 in US service.

The F-22 failed to replace the F-15 due to its cost in a new political climate. We are now seeing the same cost spiral hitting the F-35. The outcome is still to early to tell.

For Norway’s part, i think the best replacement for the F-16, is the F-16. Add to that a Taranis type for strike, and you may have something both cheaper and better.

Since 1999 on this forum there have been several posters over the years that have brought similar stories. Claims of ‘I saw the video tape of the wreckage on TV’, etc.

You are the one quoting ‘facts’. Facts that you believe were all covered up overnight in some sweeping conspiracy while you slept. Again this is nothing new. This tactic has been used by NATO losses believers ever since the conflict. They immediately drag out the old NATO covered everything up agenda. Fact is that censorship did happend for reasons i have no problems understanding.

Now, reading what you write, you obviously take it personally if a B-2 got hit over Yugoslavia. It is like you spent the whole time since the cold war in the trenches. You need to start taking happy pills. Get a grip. It is only a aeroplane, not the end of the world.

That seems like an awful lot of trouble to go to. It would seem that were there a story, there would be multiple corroborating sources. I find it inplausible that all media sources would be involved in a conspiracy to cover up a plane landing in Greece, damaged or otherwise.

No, there was no conspiracy ! The Norwegian press was under censorship due to the fact that Norwegian and allied forces were in action over Jugoslavia. All information regarding air operations was censored in fear of giving Serbs clues about allied airmen downed behind enemy lines.

This was cofirmed by every cabinet member in Norway !

In fact, they all took part in every TV-debate programe they could get their hands on !

Every opposition politician worthy of notice, took part !

Every single TV-expert was dragged out !

They all agreed on how clever the were ! 😀
