you honestly think the Pakistanis arnt going to be using money for these jets??? What about fuel, repairs, maintanence, pilot training, airfield operations costing??? You think these planes will fly themselves?? There is no easy get out for those who defend the Pakistani goverment because its clear as daylight whats going on. Like i say next quake we’ll see a ton of money heading thier way only for it to be blown on weapons and what not. Great people im sure!
its gotta little ariel thing to sticking out of its tailfin! an odd beast / i suspect something very boring for this planes task, don’t ask what but something like measuring cloud samples or something equally dull. Looks like its seen alot of use though. Someone must know all about it, its name, its designation, what it does, how old it is, what it likes to eat etc etc.
Rofl, giant big mac – i like your line of thinking there. I seriously wonder if Irans air defense could come up with anything better! (snickering). Guess its all up to Allan pbuh (rofl).
yeah but neither is concord a mil aircraft but i see em so often (the helos) i thought i’d include. Very loud they are too lol. is it Bristow Seakings? if anyone knows or is that another type?
I see ghosts, no wait sorry wrong forum.Seriously though i see Lynx’s alot, about 1 a day if thats alot lol, Seakings but mainly the red and white boring sea rescue ones, Merlins very occasionally like once every month maybe. Apache seen about twice, oh Chinnoks about once a month often two at once. Saw a Hawkeye about 2 years or maybe year and a half ago. Red arrows used to see quite often during summer months years ago but not so often these days it seems. Never ever seen a RAF puma which is odd lol. Had a jaguar go over about 3 years ago and that was the last fast mover i saw i think. Concorde was cool cos it used to shake all the windows in the house when it used to fly over to America and i guess where i lived we were still in the ‘shock area’ if you get me cos the pressures would rumble and rattle the whole house – was very cool and used to be almost every night at about 9ish from memory when i was younger. Oh that plane that drops the red devil parachuters every year for a fete but they always always land about 3 miles off rather worryingly lol. Some of you lot are so lucky to see all the stuff you do. Worst thing is being in a factory at work and hearing a fast jet but not being able to see it – had that quite a few times and you ask people what it was and they say things like ‘it was very loud’ or ‘it went real fast’ – even had a guy last year say ‘oh thats a Vulcan Bomber you can tell by its engines without doubt its a vulcan’ oh how we laughed at that one!
Its the BBC – expect large amounts of hype, ‘un-named sources’ and general scare mongering. Take with large pinch of salt.
this thread should be renamed how to bring down about 20 b-2’s and hundreds of other jets. be a foolish guy who dedicated all his resources into shooting down a B-2 when he could have 100 times more of a chance shooting down conventianal jets. Be no good wasting all your time looking for one phantom b-2 when you got f-16’s,18’s and 15’s all prowling overhead targeting at will.
Rofl – keep dreaming my friend. Incase you hadn’t noticed either it highly unlikely UN kicks out USA from it. Considering the UN is based in America and America payes for about a third of it pointless funding. UN should be closed immediatly, nothing but a utter waste of time. Some posters need to wake up and stop dreaming.
oh christ a Hersh article, full of unnamed sources and ex-officials speaking on condition of anomity no doubt. somethings never change lol.
‘Strikes would delay a-bomb but not for very long’ hhmm not to sure on that, i mean can you see them continuing to beaver away on thier bombs when the country and its infustruce is being anhilated all around it, Sounds like very wishfull thinking. I mean its like saying Germany could have constructed an A-bomb as the Allies were surounding Berlin! Its hard enough to construct and design an A-bomb in peacetime let alone with your country going up in smoke and fire all around you. If development is at 100% pace in peacetime i’d imagine that’d drop to more like 25% in a serious war.
‘Osama seems to be OK despite all of the power of the US…’ Man thats the funniest thing i’ve heard all week – the guys probably earthworm developemnt mate, if not not exactly a great leader eh , running scared and of little or no actual use to anybody! Wow just wow.
wow the prophet has spoken the outcome is clear. ROFL.
Expect Iranian assets to be shifted in areas such as schools, mosques, hospitals and other ‘sensitive’ places like Saddam did too – thats gonna make life alot more difficult for coalition targeting of air defense assets. It would seem that type of stunt is the sort that could get him a lucky hit one night – maybe wheel out a network of air defense assets from the local univerity one night say 1 month into the war and cause havoc for an hour or too then duck back inside the public buildings. Shop fronts too with armoured vehicals backed into them, ok so mobile missle systems aint small but you get the idea, play cat and mouse and hide back in your sneaky hole before the overhead aircraft get a fix on you. Might not stop em all toghether but sure would cause headaches.
where i am i used to get absolutly loads of helo’s every day coming over low, was when cold war was still on and since then i see what maybe 5 or 6 helo’s a week at most, mainly lynx going from west to east and back. i Remember before the Gulf war a black a-109 was racing back oand forth every day along the route military choppers take, like 10 times a day, it coulda just been pleasure flights but i wondered if it was SAS one? never saw it after the war began. Never see apaches – oh once i think, see the odd merlin too they make unusual noise and when i was little used to c alot of CH-53’s nut never seen one for at least a decade. tying to think what else, oh those army lynx with ungly features – the latest type seen them a few times. Oh and most odd when i was about 17 i watched a Army Lynx (the type with skids not wheels) doing loops and rolls over my village area! now that was crazy cos it was a saturday afternoon and nice day too, maybe it was a display for some fair type thing i dunno. good though lol.
i always felt 111 was more of a straticic level asset and the 24 more of a tactical battle level of ops if you get me , i’d say tornado to su24 yeah but not sure on 111 to su24, are they really that closely matched?
