perhaps some way of getting into Link -16 is the ultimate hope for them, imagine that for a ‘card to play’. Be a toughy to beat that but if its possible or not i don’t know.

no its simply too complex an Issue and would be foolish to discount a suprise attack by Iranian forces. Only a very silly person would discount it alltogether. Initiative is the key word, if they could strike swift hard and cripple Centcom C4 then they have a very good upper hand right away do they not?

Who says they have to have F-22’s to attack? is there a Law that says this, quite capable enough without the F-22 to do the job. And who says USA will attack first? Again no law or rule says this has to be the case – why not an Iranian attack on US assets in the region?

must be nice too have onboard i guess, be it a pool or a sauna. Shame they couldnt off added a little sand and beach chairs too 🙂 .Just wondering would the origional idea of pool or sauna (whatever) have been linked to other projects for Soviet vessels? i mean were they like wanting to see how viable it was with the intention of perhaps using them in other newer (unbuilt or designed) subs and ships? Or was the whole thing just a ‘treat’ to that class of sub. I’m just Imagineing a Sub bigger then typhoon see with a nice big pool for actual proper exercise cos isnt swimming the perfect way to keep fit in a boat – i mean the same area as a Gym roughly but not all the stupid clanking weights and what not. I dunno just a thought. And dosnt swimming excersie every single muscle int he body almost all at once – seems ideal to me 🙂

this is begining to sound like the bluster that Sammy came out with before his goverment got taken out within 3 weeks. I’d give Iran about 10 weeks to topple ,maybe 20. Still if i had to pick a side to be on if i wanted to survive i know where i’d be and it isn’t Iran. Its gonna be pounded beyond belief guys – sorry if that somewhat upsets some of you but tough luck i guess. Iran wants to play in the big league but lets face it they just arn’t up to the challenge. Must suck to be living in Iran with that loon in charge dragging you closer to an apocalytic doom everyday, ROFL.

but is its designed role even still viable these days?? seems to me if they cannot survive what is essentially low level warfare then how much better against a top line armoured corps? Havnt precision guided munitions and super quality sensers from high in the sky eliminated the need for these guys?

just one point about Saddam not being a religious nut – he was in many ways – there is the fact he would pay the families of palistian suicde bombers for the loss of thier ‘martyrdom’ (sniggers). Also his much vaunted ‘fediyeen’ ,lol, where religous nuts There is way to much evidence now stacking against Sammy to say that he wasn’t Islamic – hell go pay a visit to Memri.com and see for yourselfs.

The whole ‘no fly zones’ issue and Iraqi units engaging Coalition aircraft over Iraq in the years between desert storm and OIF is one thats conveniantly forgoten by thos on the left. Under a UN mandate we policed the skys in northen and southern Iraq being engaged and locked by Iraqi airdefense a hell of alot.AFM did an article once all about ‘Saddams Missile Men’ and how they provocked and harrassed the UN madated no fly zones. The point i make is Mr Hussain never actually complied with the countless UN resolutions made by the UN – he made a mockery out of it and reaped in the profits off of a crocked and thoughrly criminal ‘oil for food’ program.
