All empty promises I’m afraid and last night sounds as if it was more of the same! 😡

Hit the nail on the head! We have been getting promises from BAA for as long as I can remember… They excel at pitting one lowland airport against the other, the absence of any similar presentation for EDI confirms this. They could at least have raised EDI hopes in tandem.?

Sour grapes? Of course not, good luck to GLAsters if they get it, if they do, you can bet EDI will be at least a decade behind. Last night sounds like pure unadulterated PR…

I’m off to Oz this weekend.. back in about 5 weeks. 😀

Is that the 06 Threshold End – the one that’s going to have the holding pan area?

Yes! The original pic posted in free.uk.binaries.edinburgh-airport showed pax faces at the windows..what was it doing at the 06 end when take-off
was being conducted from 24?

Everytime I look at those new taxiway turns I get the impression they are too tight. 🙁

If I’m not mistaken this aircraft was standing on one of the remote stands this morning. Any idea when this happened, or where? I can not place the taxiway in my head

Its the new taxiway..some say a towbar broke loose and the
aircraft kept rolling..isn’t there supposed to a ‘driver’ on aircraft under tow.?

On another note it looks as if the new taxiways need to have the corners filled-in.?

And to ask an obvious question without fanning the EDI v GLA broken record debate… Why didn’t they fly in to Glasgow as that’s where the match was being played?

They wanted to see Edinburgh Castle? 😀

I’m asking as there have been several cases of eastern European teams involved in Scottish matches flying into places like Luton, Gatwick and other “wrong” airports as they don’t always seem to know the available options around the UK regions

What was the aircraft doing at EDI?

Carrying Ukraine Supporters etc to attend a football against
Glasgow Celtic…
