I’ve played a lot of DCS and I’m 100% sure that is not footage from the game not without some major editing or modding. It would probably be easier to start a fresh.

The biggest give away from is the Su-27 pilots head movements. DCS doesn’t simulate pilot body movement to such a live of fidelity. As is seen with him looking down into the cockpit then back up again.

Another thing no where in DCS will you find cloud formation as is show in this video, they look just to natural.

Finally the FLIR that is used in game for the A-10 also doesn’t have that high fidelity when it comes to showing heat patterns. It would of have to been editing in post.

The video that you posted doesn’t do a really good job auguring why the footage is faked. The only thing that I would agree with if true is who released the original footage if it didn’t come the Portuguese air force.

I don’t believe that it faked footage though the video description could be falsified I guess.

I wonder if they intend to have the two pods be replaceable with weapon stations so that on a pair medium range missile can be carried. Similar to the F/A-18. It would be a good way to get ten hardpoints without have to enlarge the wing as we’ve seen on the past model.

An improvement over the first MiG-29K but still the light dark on the prototypes looks so much better.

Not a fan at all of that camo. They should of just stuck with the light grey as we’ve seen on many MiG test bed aircraft. The MiG-29 just looks good and clean in it.

Anyone know why you rarely see the new gen of MiG-29s armed with the R-73 on the outer most hardpoint? I know there are photos out there but most of the time it seems they are using the 3 inner most hardpoints and leave the last ones clean.

Also does the new gen of MiG-29 retain the capacity to carry the R-77 on the outer hardpoint like the first MiG-29M/K?

I really don’t see the point of making a Stealth CAS aircraft. What advance would it provide really besides flying to and from combat areas.

The hard decision that the RuAF is going to have to make, as the USAF has, is the future of CAS in the field UCAV or still with manned aircraft.

MiG-35 is shelved?

Last new is that it has been delayed to 2016 pending a order of up to 100 aircraft.
