    Lockheed 12A NC18130

This aircraft flew near my local `drome,Liverpool,en route to Fife(Glenrothes) on Monday 3rd Sept.

She has a very interesting history having been used as President de Gaulle`s personal transport in the 1940s.

Interesting line of biz over where T4 now is.

Is that a Fellowship next to the Gulfstream to the right of the 727?

F-28s were rare in this country in any era………..id anyone?

Also,I don`t remember the Beeline base being used too often for biz parking and yet there`s a line of three 125s by the original BEA hangars. Was there a special event on that day?

Duxford`76 and the fate of N12420

Just joined the forum and noticed this thread about H-B`s T-33s.

I attended an airshow at Duxford in June `76 and all three were present G-OAHB,G-WGHB and N12420.

The latter went Stateside and was written-off at Sebring ,FL in July 1979.The pilot attempted to land on a disused runway and hit a cow!

Thanks for bringing back some memories of those lovely jet warbirds.

    Gareth
