“Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said on Monday.”
Yeah definitely some random guy.
in Iraq, their foreign minister is probably considered as “some random guy”?
Where are these Iraqi Mi-28s, they must be almost completed if they are to be delivered in 3 months time? Are there pictures of them on the assembly line in Rostov?
Sorry for the piggy back but why has the Westland Sea King our lasted the S-61??? Is it British engineering :dev2: ??? 😛
Try this thread on the pprune forum. There will be S-61s flying for many years yet…

Also: the BBC website have a programme on the Sea King available (UK only):

N011M Bars weighs 650 kg.
N007 Zaslon weighs 1500 kg.
I think the difference in weight is a significant reason to do without replacement.
Where did you get that figure for the Zaslon’s weight? I usually see a figure of around 935 kg in many sources?
Still a beast of a radar though.
Would Germany have…. err …. damn it. :p
What were you trying to say?
“Uncle Sam” will not attack a really strong opponent. 😉
Would Russia have gone to war against Georgia in 2008 if the Georgians had nukes? Would the USSR have invaded Czechoslovakia in 1968 if Alexander Dubček had 2000 nuclear tipped ICBMs at his finger tips?
Words cannot describe the awesomeness:
WoW! It’s like Moses parting the Red sea…
And which airshow this one were in?
Other member already show you similar load in flight.A demonstration is also an operation, which perhaps you don’t know.
Have you got a picture of a MiG-29K with such a warload actually taking off or landing on the Kuznetsov? I would be very surprised if you did.
As far as I can see that is an “airshow display” – why do you think there is a camera crew on board?

perhaps that’s a typical warload for any L-39 in combat today?
Do any of the T-50 prototypes actually have any kind of RAM applied to them at all? We are now into the fourth year of test flying as it stands…
what happened to generation ‘zwei’ – has it been superseded by generation ‘drei’ ?
The internal fuel capacity for MiG-29SMT is 6100kg.
Are you sure about that? It seems like a lot, almost double the figure for the Mirage 2000 which you quoted.
Answer is clear IMO. Sukhoi knows what they are doing.
Do you think Lockheed Martin always knows what they’re doing, or EADS?
Maybe it will be based on the F-14, that would be worth looking at. Or even the MiG-29.
Oh, I wasn’t trying to guess what the full fuel load on the Y-20 is – I only know that 10 tons can only be a fraction of the figure. Max fuel load of planes like the B777 or A330 is measured in the several tens of tons/tonnes…
Without even researching it I’m pretty sure it’s a lot more than 10 tons. Maybe 20?
