Oh so it’s fair game for the Palestinians to fire rockets at Israeli settlements indiscriminately but not OK for Israel to retaliate? when that happens the Palstinians go running to the UN complaining about Israel’s provocative attack. It’s long past time for them to realise they can’t have it both ways. If you want an unbiased view on this situation try reading ‘Why Blame Israel?’ and then consider that the roots of this trouble lie in the Balfour Declaration.

The root of the problem can be found in the Balfour Declaration: “His Majesty’s government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” with the understanding that “nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country.”
The discriminatory nature of the Israeli regime is the current manifestation of this major problem. Everything else, including rockets, suicide bombs, rock attacks… are merely a result of this central problem.

The aparheid policy of Israel will fall eventually, just like it did in South Africa. It wont take away all the proplems but at least it will take out the most obvious ones. Opression which Old shape descriped will never succeed, it never had and never will in any cases.

We can do it by elimination.
1. Neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians are going anywhere – this rules out total victory for either side.
2. The two state solution has proven to be a very costly fantasy and has been buried now.
3. The three state solution (involving Egypt and Jordan) will bring on more wars and no stability.
This leaves us with one state!
So I actually think that the only solution would be a regime change in both Israel and the Palestinian Authority leading to a one state solution.
