Here are daylight pics. Vertical stablizer already painted (but not a final painting), with the “One” badge and tail number 688.
PII, as I said earlier, the previous paint of the model was Helenic. I painting over that paint and not all of the work is done yet. It will take several more days to complete.
“I didn’t pay attention to your original statement said because it is silly to claim relations to the F16B because of the spine.”
Say what?
I didn’t say it had anything to do with the F-16B.
I only suggested that the Chinese took the IDEA of avionics spine from the later blocks F-16s.
And it doesn’t mean that it’s a copy, it was just for comparision.
I know.
As we did with the Kfir TC (larger nose containing avionics that were located in place of the second seat).
But at least we all agree about the new spine. Earlier you didn’t even pay attention to what I said.
Well Crobato, at least we agree about this.
I was surprised to see your post because that’s just the opposite of what you said earlier (-:
BTW that last picture of the J-10A is just for comparision, to show the J-10A doesn’t have that kind of spine.
Well that’s a bit disappointing. No comment about my repaint, even from you PII?
I shouldn’t have said anything about the Lavi as you will never except my opinion, no matter what.
I want to focus on the J-10 now. The J-10B. I really think we got something new here. That the Lavi has nothing to do with. I really think the J-10B has a new avionics spine that the J-10A doesn’t have. Looks like the Chinese got the idea from the F-16.
Anyway, forget the Lavi remark. Can’t you it see like me?
Also note a new antena on that spine.
Does anyone alse here thinks like me that the J-10B has a new, late blocks F-16 style (like in the Israeli F-16D) large spine, from it’s canopy to the vertical tail?
(not to say… a Lavi style canopy… but never mind… never said that…)
Well, not a real Kurnass, but sure got the Phantom style. It’s a Flight Simulator 2002 model that I’m repainting. I just had a flight from Hatzor in the evening and took some 100 pictures, it was all so beautiful that I didn’t notice how much I’m pressing on the Print Screen key. So if you want to see more I’ll upload some pictures.
As you can see, it is painted over a Greek F-4E. The original picture is a BMP file, and this one is JPEG, so it’s with somewhat reduced quality.
Note that this J-10B has an expected Lavi type canopy, but most importantly, a much larger spine, almost an F-16 like, probably cointaining more avionics, or fuel. I think we’re finally looking at the real thing here 😮
But looking at that question again, I guess I was confused
Arthur and aerospacetec, that was a retorical question guys.
stmok, the Comanche was canned a few months ago. Though I think parts of its tech will be integrated in the later improvements of the Apache.
Congrats.
Any news about the interim fighter contest?
Cool. We should do an Israeli version: “The Lavi” 😀
Either that or we offered state credit as one way of payment.
