And as always, the terror of road accidents hardly gets a mention.

real, shot from Beech Baron with a door off, 14,000 feet, near Mount Rainier, also Cessna chase plane, test pilot in the big jet, just about 4 seconds for grabbing pics as the big jet flew past, 3 passes made, a really tricky shoot .

The issue raises the need for a public review of the museum in its present state, its aims, funding and what in the long term is best.

With a change of leader this should be a good time, but for heavens sake do not pay out for more consultants !

Thanks for the reminder. Moggy , I am not surprised that Gibson was unlike his film portrayal, recently I found some background to Winston Churchill which has entirely blown away the image which he nurtured.

petitions are ok ,however letters/emails are better if you have the time. Put yourself in the shoes of the new boss (I wish ) and try some suggestions as well.

    Wonderful work ..again.

And as an aside there will be an increase in “Spitfire ” sightings by the non experts this year, two display RAF Tucanos have been given camo schemes with codes.

Banner towing training courses are available in the UK, it is a skill, which of course applies to many variations of aircraft use.

A shame that the last flying Wilga in the UK is no more and a relief that the crew escaped.

This is what I have read…

If the wreck is between high and low water marks it is actually on Crown Estate land. This clever bit of ancient law ensures that all items washed up on a beach can be claimed by….the Crown. Also if you are walking the coast and encounter private foreshore you can move onto the exposed beach and carry on below the high water mark.

    Happy to be corrected !

Good line up for those who truly appreciate how lucky we are in the UK to get the chance to see flyers. I can see Spitfires on the list so why the fuss about which ones they are? Air displays are always changing content and if you are patient you can manage to see a variety over a year.

Of course this will never make everyone happy, they want the impossible , a supersized show where everything flies and the admission cost is peanuts. Time to really appreciate what we have got and stop moaning.
