Sci fi is not nonsense, it allows dramatic story telling and inspires readers and viewers to consider areas which traditional fiction never ventures into.
Welcome Stuart, it is good to read new info on relics in the area, I was certainly pleased to read of the Mulben turret. About five years ago i tried to find this turret based on a photo with no exact location. So any help would be appreciated.
The real reason is that he cannot afford to be shown up at his workplace by ex forces employees, they have a habit of speaking up when a bullsh00ter is detected and they dont like being bossed around by someone who cannot organise anything well.

Then there was the British United HP Hearlad from Balckpool,
a women on holiday took views from the window while airborne which later revealed a UFO passing by very quickly and complete with humps and bumps.
Later a team from the BBC managed to get the same UFO in flight,it was the tip of the tailplane distorted by the window framing.
True story…East African airways DC3 flight trick, passengers see a crewman exit the cockpit unravelling two balls of string keeping them tight, the DC rolls right and he corrects using the string, he explains they are short on crew and he needs the use of the latrine at the back, eventually he hands the string to the rearmost pax and asks them to keep the plane as level as they can, then goes into the WC. The process is reversed a few minutes later.

Seems a popular choice for die cast models, I wonder why that is the case?
Well its not that secret, an air to air sortie took place and the pics will be published later, the rest is just fun.
Interesting to see the aerial views and ground comparisions showing what is left at this original air field. I sense an early morning start will be needed for those going by road because access will be by country lanes. Hope all turns out well for the show, a great idea.
