Has anywhere in the Uk got a museum working with the same aims and using dioramas? I can only recall one http://wingsmuseum.co.uk/.

The lack of visitors to some air museums is worrying, a few weeks ago on one midweek day the Coventry Classic flight had just 2 visitors in one day.

Somehow I do not think the man will be getting his gun back without a lot of expense,I shudder to recall all the problems we had on crash sites with just bits of automatic guns and the law.

Although with the track record of the IWM of turning down attractions and not making the most of what it already has I will be surprised if they at IWM pursue this.

Well done CAF, and special thanks to the engineer from CAF who took the trouble to remove the cockpit covers from several of the static aircraft because hes an enthusiast and knew how cheesed off the photographers would have been if he had not bothered.

Did you include reference to the filming of Family at War while the Lancaster was at Blackpool? oddly the cover poster for the series dvds shows a B17 however I am certain night filming took place around the Lancaster,or could this have been and intro to the series Airline which also filmed at squires Gate?

I did ponder on the use of the Charles Brown pics on the Etienne site . Flight International gave away A4 prints as the Flight colour feature weekly and many were Charles Brown images.Perhaps thats where they were scanned from.
