My opinion? Yes sir. People like that are real dangerous. But: There can be NO screw ups. There is room for no error on that kind of operation. None. Which basically means if dangerous people hang out in a city, they are at no risk from a strike like that. They were traveling in the middle of nowhere and put themselves at risk. They are many things but on most days they aren’t stupid. I doubt they are dumb enough to put themselves at risk like that again.

That strike is also a message. You kill my dog, I kill your cat. The rules have changed and people that are in that line of work should consider themselves at risk anywhere.

My opinion would be that there won’t be any worry of playing nice. Those days are over. The French tanker, Bali and the Jordan assassination made that strike seem more “acceptable” ( trying not to sound crass ) in the western press for sure. It won’t however help things in some diplomatic circles.
