Totally recommend going to see XS458 in action, A lightning never disappoints when your hear those engines fire up.
Can’t wait for ZF579 to fire up! Only shots I have from the open day she was covered up so they don’t do her justice.
For those not familliar with ZF579 down at Gatwick, here she is. appologies for the over exposed shot, perhaps someone else may have some better shots from the day.
There was a Battle of Britain display at Duxford Spring Air show tomorrow Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster (17th May) so I assume no Lancaster involved this year?? 🙁
458 is a beauty, I will have to get up there again this year hopefully in sunshine this time.
Do you sell tickets in advance or on the day?
Shes looking good! look forward to the updates and fair play working in that weather. Will have to head down to Charlwood again soon!
Thanks
Jason
Great Vid, Pics and history, only wish I could have been there in ’87! ah well need the lottery for Cape Town.
Just started reading “Lightning from the cockpit” by Peter Caygill
See you next year.
Great shots Paul will definitely be back there next year, I hope for a dry day next time, even if the weather made for some real atmospheric shots!

It was great to be there too! Great to see and especially hear those engines power up, a first for me! The Gatwick Aviation museum is a great place to visit , have been there a few times and have been made to feel really welcome from the engineers and volunteers! Thanks again.
Cheers
Jason
