    RE: A315`S FOR AIRTOURS???

I’ve found that some will call the Airbus A340-500 a A345.
Futher what is the A325? there is not such a plane.

Go to one of the info desk and there are some disinated spotter spots there. You could always try the visitors deck. U have a great view of the platform and the one of the more bussy runway, depents the wind direction ofcourse. Or you could take line 198 to Aalsmeer and the bus should take you right to the end of runway…..

    have fun.

    RE: A380

    Check out the Airbus website..

I’ve heard that the jet wash is so big that it wouldn’t have any effect on the maximum passengers per hour of flight operations e.g. the Fokker F-50 has a 5 miles zone and the Boeing 747 something like 14 miles so I imagine that the A380 would be something like 16 miles at least.

    RE: The sonic cruiser

Flying above mach 0.85 will increase the fuel flow to unexceptible levels. So I don’t think the Cuise speed will be much higher then mach 0.85

    RE: The sonic cruiser

The Airplane would be subsonic around mach 0.98 or so instead of 0.83 or so. Most interesting airplane.

Hey are you from Holland Dutchy????
Yep Lufthansa is all in German (sorry)
But why don`t you try the EPST program?
It`s in Holland and they train you from nothing to an 737 FO!!!!
Easy jet gets pilots from there!!!!
At least you HAVE to be under 27 years old!!!!!!
And you HAVE to study very very hard, but it`s worth it at the end! (believe me!)

    See ya,
    jetlag

What is the EPST program. Study hard is no problem and I’m not going to reatch 27 for a few years.

    RE: 747-400 versus MD 11 versus A-340

The KLM has got the MD-11 and the boeing 747 / 767 / 737 so I think in the near future the MD-11 has to go, perhapse the 777 is an option for them and also to replace the older 747-300 series.

    RE: Shortest and longest flights

The longest flight I’ve been on was from Schiphol, The Netherlands to Changi, Singapore. 10.526 km about 13 houres in a Boeing 747-400.
A very good airline but still a long flight. The Shortest one from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Maleisia about 45 minutes in a A430-300E, a big plane for such a distance.
