Turbine engines

Will anyone be bringing along some Turbines to sell?
Specifically looking out for a Rolls Royce Gnome 1200 or any Drone type Turbine, percent/rpm and EGT/ITT instruments.

There are often percentage of rpm and many other instruments on eBay, mostly unserviceable or condition unknown. eBay user chrisw8511 has various types up for auction and buy it now at the moment.

Third stage bearing support/stator vane assembly has been modified to produce thrust. Also reheat added. I am predicting 1000lbs+ thrust with the reheat. Fingers crossed.:eek:

I havent run it in the car yet. I will be making a wiring harness for it next month and run it maybe towards the end of February or early March.

I found two being advertised by a company called Turbines by Gateway back in 2007 whom I believe are located somewhere in California. Apparently one way or another they originally came from the Everettes. I was told that they were going to be used in jet boats. – a project that never made it.
I bought one and a friend bought the other. Both 1200s and both I believe from a Wessex.
I have modified mine quite a bit as you can see – probably a horrific sight to an ex Gnomey engineer? But for me it has been a wonderful project to get stuck into.

Gnome pics

Better late than never.
This is one of the Everettes Gnomes Imported back to the U.K from the U.S.
Now it lives happily in a Jet car.
Hope the pics show the detail that you need/needed.

I thought that the percentage of rpm instruments were sealed with a vacuum inside. Therfore if the glass is cracked or broken, it was considered unservicable.
So I dont think that you can just swap the glass over?
