I’d love to hear some of your Korean. Whilst I was out there, I was only able to pick up “hello” and “thank you”, and even that took 10 weeks! It’s an impossible language.

Out of curiosity, how exactly are you teaching yourself these languages? What materials are you using and how do you know that your pronunciations are correct etc?

I have a basic grasp of German (enough to get by on) and can speak, read and write. I’m currently using Linguaphone to teach myself Thai.

Audio, Reading, studying the alphabet ( which is how far I am Korean but I do know that Ba is bar ) and then after that I engage in conversation with natives on things such as myspace etc then I know if they understand it must be right. 🙂

If you want I can put together all of my studies of Korean so far just to give you the general gist of it ( I must admit it is very hard ).
