I can see in a clearer sense where you’re coming from now, and no harm taken from the first post 🙂
With regards to jobs, with no word of a lie, me and my friend ask everyday in shops in Newcastle city centre, she was working at the arena but they switched company and heard nothing from them since, I look online everday, I had to get my dad to employ me as no one would take me on. Even getting rejected from primark…

Nice shots! 🙂 I like the Transavia shot 🙂
I’m not bothered if it goes up, i’m halfway through now. But if it’s going to have to come like this and go up in price, the so it shall be. My parents have been paying for some of my education since I was 4 years old, so a little change won’t bother me as such, but it’s not me that I’m bothered about, it’s the fact that I know people who can’t even barely afford a course now, let alone it going to rise, but I’m obviously assuming that other financial help will be set.
I am appalled and in a way, disheartened, to be called “selfish” as that is something I most certainly am not. If I have to pay for that price for an education – well I accept that, I can’t change it.
Regarding to “free” – okay, so I didn’t know how that came about – so I admit being wrong there.

Well as a student who never had EMA as I wasn’t entitled to it, I would say that i’m not too bothered, however on the other hand, with the fees of courses suddenly jumping from £3000 to £9000 it’s no wonder that according to a source i’ve read in a recent publication at university, that the UK’s education is falling behind other countries and that people in the country in my “age” aren’t wanting to go for a higher education due to the simplistic thought of the cost of a course now being £9000 a year, especially when it’s a much different story for courses internationally in Europe and a lot less expensive in other parts.
I wouldn’t be suprised then, if over the next few years, numbers of university will dwindle because of people not feeling sure enough to be able to follow with the prices of an education.
I for one think that no matter what stage it is, education should be free; just like it is in Scotland for example, or if there was a fee to pay, it should be lower than the current £3000. People shouldn’t have to feared away from learning something, it should be offered to give people a better chance at making a better career for themselves.

Without me sounding cynical … I don’t think LBA will have an NYC route for a while, I mean heck, look at how many years it’s been since NCL’s American Airlines route was cancelled and we’ve not even had something picking it up, and i’ve heard through the grapevine as such that united/american/delta etc aren’t really interested in growing in the EU at the moment and that they’re focusing on domestic routes.
It could happen but, I wouldn’t count on it myself for a while.
In the words of my Finnish friends from uni …. vittu ….:mad:
