I believe there is an issue with a 20 mm hole in the main spar precluding a return to flight even if they wanted to. Shame.
Superb, love the Tigercat shots. Good to see Grumpy, I thought she was leaving these shores ?

What is the current flight status of the Sunderland ?
Sad to hear of the loss of Mr Howell.
Just had a look at Ebay. Crikey !!! is my polite response. However, having untertaken a few projects, all be it in the car world, as far as I am concerned the panels, canopy & fuselage section are the most important parts that need to be safely secured. This is all relative of course. I appreciate the time spent hunting down parts & units but the time & effort spent in (re) manufacturing the aforementioned parts is significant.
I wish Tracer Adlam luck if he is going to attempt to complete the project.
Kermits airworthy(ish) mossie.
With respect to the CAA view on accepting aircraft with previous military service as acceptable for authourisation to fly (other than if regarded as a “complex” type). At what point DO the CAA regard a heavily restored aircraft as having previous service & therefore grant it a permit ?
Apologies if this has already been discussed in another thread.
What is the situation with a warbird registered in one country and making a trip to another for a show ?
One from Fighter Meet, North Weald, late 80’s.
There is substantially more parts show on the Arrow website of the Spit, though they are all a bit mangled.
Interesting to note that they claim salvage of the complete Halifax is possible on the website. Unfortunately the current contents of my pockets is have £3.73, 1 Euro, an old tissue & a furry sweet so I can’t help on that one.
Yes it did look a bit dinky taxying out with the heavy stuff at the end.
