Hello Dan,
What do you use to creat your excellent profiles ? They look like they were generated using some sort of computer package.
How far around the British Isles does the CAA sphere of influence extend ? Maybe we could base the complex types in the Isle of Man & sneak them across at low level for suprise airshow appearances. We could then charge the MOD for providing them with realistic “aggressor” targets to help cover the fuel. Keep the Eurofighter/Tornado F4 boys on their toes so to speak.
Is it worth coming up with a “Save the Beverly” icon that people with websites can add to their homepages. This could link to the sites in the post above,. Just an idea to get a bit more publicity.
Not an ongoing proposition, but it would have been nice to see a formation flypast at Heathrow at the end. Imagine it, a V of five concordes……aaahhh….boooohoo….
Nice pics, one question though. In the third pic why is the pilot wearing a red nose ? (was it red nose day ?)
I quite agree, best to finish the job where time & funds permit. Thought undeniably a marvellious achievement, I was a bit disappointed to see that the Brooklands museum Wellington, R-Robert was left in a “half restored” state. Though I do understand the reasons it was done like this.
That’s why they are built like tanks. Have you seen the armoured ones they use in South America for attacking the drug producing fields with ? Fully armoured cockpits & systems.
I heard an urban myth about the crop duster pilot who bent his expensive car at the end of a days dusty by crashing into the closed airfield gate. As he approached it, as the umpteenth obstacle of the day, he gave it some throttle & tried pulling back on the steering wheel. Crunch !! Probably/hopefully not true.
Monster !!! Any idea on the gross weight ?
HHmmm.. I’m surprised it doesn’t have additional vertical stabilisers on/near the ends of the horizontal stabilisers. Though they have a ventral extention on the second pic I suppose.
Lovely
Has anyboby contacted the RAF about possible logistic support ?
Not Oman, but big & low so I’d thought I add it.
Maybe squabblers could be encouraged to squabble off board.
