Dont look for a quick solution to this problem This is a HUGE hot potato the AF has now…..and in an election year…..right after the top AF leadership has been fired……….wow……gonna be fun to watch!
I’v also heard that “significant” numbers of AF Colonels and Generals at the pentagon are facing the ax……..
Regardless of weather the AF gets KC-45 or not……its probably safe to say that because of this, non US aircraft will be effectivly excluded from all future AF contracts.
poss the 767-300 that was gonna be prototype for caned E-10?
Still pretty nasty.http://sev.prnewswire.com/aerospace-defense/20080529/DC2379729052008-1.html
Exactly!!
Now that the AF has done a wonderfully complete job of pi**ing off congress…..good luck getting any more F-22s.

Apparently the S-3 had some sort of navigational error and corrected it as soon as they realized they had crossed the line. It’ll be interesting to see how the Venzuelans spin this one. They’re apparently summoning the US ambassador, I thought Chavez would have tossed him out long ago?
The US still has an ambassador there?
I would think the j85 would be ideal. Arent the new-build ME-262s powered by j85s?
If that is the case then all the congressmen/senators should be lined up and shot..
That should be the case iregardles of any Air Force program.
I see this going one of two ways…….Dont think the GAO report will affect the deal…….what MAY happen, if the Democrates win the election….the Air Force will never see the KC-45 in service. They will kill the program, and probably pass laws restricting “forgin” aircraft in US service. If the Republicans win, the program goes forward. The AF waited just too long to award this contract, their timing was just TERRIBLE.
Will Delta now become a major Airbus customer/operator? Or will they quietly get rid of the A330s and 319s in the next couple of years?
This seems to me an “absorbtion” rather than a “merger”. No more Northwest.
What will the “new” airline be called?
