Without AWACS any fighters that launched against US forces would be meat. I doubt he would be stupid enough to start some sort of real arms race down there. 20 Flankers are no real threat to the US. But….I think the very first thread stated that he was getting SCUDs………..anyone know if this is true or not?

Exactly. Short of navalizing Grippen……this would probably be the cheapest way to get a new single seat CTOL small strike fighter. Can’t see it happening tho……..Only country that could use it would be Brazil. Maybe India?
