RE: Quitting the Forum?
Well, maybe I reacted a bit too soon. But I was really, really pissed off. Anyway, college starts within 2 weeks so from that moment on I won’t have much time anyway, only in the weekends, and there are more important things to do in weekends, aren’t there?
I’ll stay on the board for a little while longer but I’m not going into discussion with certain members anymore. I think it doesn’t contribute much to the board anyway, so I just focus on discussing with reasonable people, or 99 % of the forum.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-09-02 AT 08:38 PM (GMT)]My spelling is wrong. Sorry, Phantom. At least I’m doing some efforts to speak a foreign language. Have you ever tried speaking Dutch, French or German? Non, tu n’es comprend pas ce que je suis entrain de dire maintenant? Malchance, ce n’est pas mon problème que vous n’avez pas besoin de cervaux, mon copain. (Pour ceux qui parle le francais, ne traduisez pas svp }>)
Maybe you haven’t noticed yet, but not all people on this planet speak English.
I meant you are a #####, not a hippy.
I don’t have to prove anything. I just try to contribute to this forum, and though you don’t like me, that doesn’t necessairily mean others are alike.
BTW, I was not even trying to be funny. Why should I? I am deadly serious. Ever seen a hippy reading AFM, as you accused me of being a hippy.
Kevin,
I try to avoid him, but he always replies to my posts. Should I just let him telling things about me I have never said? Never had any problems with anyone on this board, but I ran out of patience. Now just look at the beginning of this thread. I even started this thread, but if some people are not mature enough to handle it in a civilised way, that’s not my problem. I’m just sick of him calling me a tree-hugger, cocky #####. I try to avoid the guy as much as possible these days, but I’m not planning to give him ‘carte blanche’. Anyway, I think I’m leaving the board for a while, not only because of Phantom. I hate having to defend myself for things I haven’t even said.

RE: APOCALYPSE RISING – A GLOBAL ANALYSIS
2040 AD
The 3 biggest superpowers : China, the United States and the European Union discuss the current threat of neo-stalinist Russia. After having been betrayed and left alone by the west, Russian nationalists have taken over command, including the nuclear weapons. The Baltic States, which have joined NATO, ask for military NATO-assistance in defending its borders. The Russians, feeling unsafe with the NATO-presence in the neighbourhoud, threaten to trigger a nuclear attack on the west and China if they continue placing troops near the borders.
Sounds like a cheap Tom-Clancy novel :7

Viper
Viper, how do the Norwegians look at a possible membership in the European Union? I think most will dislike it, because they’ll have to pay more than they’ll get back. But on the other hand, it will also offer economical and political advantages. It’s strange to see how isolated those non-EU countries are in western-Europe (Norway and Switzerland).

MERLIN ????????
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 08-09-02 AT 10:43 AM (GMT)]Hi Merlin,
Woow, calm down Man. I never said I enjoyed watching the planes crash into the WTC. That’s just spreading wrong information, I think you should first read and than respond. I agree with some points of what Primer said, but I think some how, he said it in a wrong way, he didn’t mean to, but this can happen. For non-native English speakers, it’s sometimes difficult to say what you really think. Happens a lot with me.
What Primer meant is that he hoped the US would understand the message and stop its unilateral policies in the middle east. At least that’s why I think.
I was also disgusted by how some others on the board reacted. Killing thousands of Iraqi’s to revenge on 3000 Americans, that’s not ver nice, is it? I hope you also try to look from the other side. Like Kevin said, not everything is black and white.
I wish people would read my posts first before they start accusing me of things I’ve never said. You even misspelled by name twice, it’s Geforce, not Geoforce. Proves how good you read the topic, and immediatelly started typing without thinking.
If you can find one single phrase where I said the attacks on the WTC are defendable, I’ll leave this board, as you wish. I said the attacks were somehow understandable, but below the belt as Mongu already stated before.

RE: Just …
I say I don’t want to hear that from you, because you are one yourself }>.
Yeah, I am a hippy. Many hippies attend airshows and read AFM. Ever been to an airshow? Did you also notice the smell of pot around those plane-spotters }> :7.
And stop saying that I think I’m an expert on world politics. I am not, never said that. It’s only you who thinks that, you and your imaginary world.
Oh, this is a board, everybody has the right to say what he or she wants. But next time I start a new thread (a serious one), please don’t respond to it. There are enough other people who can do this, Vortex, Scooter, Tomcat.
BTW, Phantom, I hope you are not losing respect for me. Please, no!!!!! Don’t. Boe-hoe- 🙁 🙁 }>.
