I am against death penalty, but I have to admit that I would rather see the Texan method performed on these terrorists. Strange, I never experienced this before.

Keltic, I honestly think, and I share your feelings towards ETA, but this is the work of muslim terrorists. I just heard on the news that there’s more evidence, and that the spanish intelligence service is quite convinced ETA did not do it. For political reasons, Aznar wants to deny that the cooperation with the US has caused this drama. However, this is not an attack on “the coalition”, it’s an attack on every democracy. It could have happened in Paris or Brussels as well.

3/11, a symbolic date, in the history of Europe.

I know for Spaniards ETA is probably the n°1 suspect, because it’s a national problem. But the fact that there were tapes found with phrases from the Quran, letters send to different tv- stations, and that a forensic team from Israel is investigating the case, makes it more realistic we are dealing with Muslim terrorists.

But, you should be very carefull, ETA has not been the only terrorist group in Europe. Remember the 70/80’s with the Rote Armee Fraktion? The Red Brigades in Italy? I can understand Aznar when he says he doesn’t believe the words from an organisation that already has let so many people suffer.

“Eliminate or at least delay the posibility of the UN moving to Belgium and having all power in the universe being concentrated in wafle central.”

Gosh, are you lucky that we produce waffles in Belgium and at the same time “to wafle” means to “bull****”. Makes your day, doesn’t it? But the joke is getting old Sauron (some even suggest older than the country itself), maybe you should make new jokes on the fact that we surrendered after 21 days back in 1939. That would be very original …

Lucky for you there’s Belgium, keeps your attention away from your real problems and gives you the impression you are happy.

No words to describe this. Doesn’t look ETA-style to me (ofcourse I’m no expert on this field). A coward attack … anyway.

The only way to prevent this is international, and more important, European co-operation on the field of contra-terrorism.

Hmm yes, it seems the only possible option. And the MoD has better things to do than putting these records on an electronic database I can imagine.

    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Kevin,

Nope, he’s not alive anymore. In fact, we are talking about a early 19th century African explorer!

So far, the only thing I can come up with is this footnote

    Majoor William Gray

3d Royal Veteran Battalion- Brevet-Major William Gray, from half-pay Royal African Corps, to be Captain, vice Hackett, deceased.

He’s not a well known officer, I was capable of recovering a copy of his fieldtrip-memoires, however, I need to collect more personal information (age, marial status, education). I know the MoD has other things to worry about šŸ˜‰ but last year they helped me finding some information. However, that was still WWII and the Royal Air Force had its own historical service.

Do you know if they have like a emailadress because snail-mail will take ages sending a letter from overseas belgium šŸ™‚
