Look out for the water tower – you can’t take a photo of the static display without getting it in shot !!

I just wish that Photoshop had a ‘Water Tower Removing Tool’ – or, for RAF Fairford, a ‘Cone Removing Tool’

Fuselage roundel and wing roundel (but there’s something strange about it. It is the up-side-down version of the one used today. But… on the last picture, with the P-51 (I think!), the star is “normal” positioned! So is the Beech version wrong or are the upper and lower wing roundels different. I have another picture with the lower wing roundel visible and it is the same as the P-51 one. Till now I can’t find more upper wing roundel of that period visible)
