Interesting subject for me,since over the 15 years i have visited 92 war time air crash sites in northern Norway,Finland and one in Sweden(already mentioned Lancaster “Easy Elsie” near Porjus).

Some photos can be seen on my Webshots album at:http://community.webshots.com/user/p51mustang_3

I also have some videos on my Youtube channel:http://www.youtube.com/user/Mustango70

The Norwegians do have very interesting stuff over there and in recent years they have made fantastic recoveries from the fjords. If making a documentary one cannot leave out those 🙂

Someone already mentioned Kjell Sörensen’s site Flyvrak here and it must be said that he must be along with Morten Möe the most experienced “wreck hunters” on this planet.

When talking about wrecks on dry land in Norway, this was the most substancial wreck site there until 1999:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVDUjKaKoY0

After it’s recovery the Ju-52 at Gäeddnoggaisse has most substancial remains.I think it is nowadays still in this condition as seen in these(sorry to say poor) photos:http://rides.webshots.com/album/29834849lpjgAEDYJZ

If you are viewing my other videos i would add that those others are good wreck sites in today’s standards when it comes to amount of material to be found.

I think that the finding of that Fw-190 F-2(now owned by Paul Allen) on the surroundigs of the St.Petersburg in early 1990’s must be the greatest wreck find of all time for me.It had preserved so well and it should have been kept as it was with only minor preservation.
