Well Done Monteray Bay. I think that all of the satff involved with this project must have felt very sad when the decision was made to release the Great White back into the wild. However I think they deserve a pat on the back for everything that they have done. For 6 months people have been able to see her ‘in the flesh’ and on the webcam. The staff/divers etc have learnt about Great White shark behaviour from her and they will still learn from her for the next month whilst she is still tagged. I wish the shark a happy life, although since this experience I feel that maybe a lesson has been learnt, in that Great White’s just are not suitable to be displayed in capitivity – ie for the space they need and of course they need to be able to swim up to 50 miles a day (which is normal behaviour for them).

To all of you that participated in this discussion I want to say thank you! It has been one of the most enjoyable threads on this forum as people have really discussed the various issues surrounding sharks. 😀

Now Daz how’s your R/C shark model coming along?

People are well aware of increasing their chances of getting a smoking related ilness, which they will possibly die from.
People that have responded to this thread have either been smokers themselves and know what it is like to give up, or have never smoked but are still offering their support for those trying to give up.

Well done for those that have managed to give up. If you have managed since 10th March and you’ve not had a ciggie then Well Done, 2nd week gets easier (well it did for me!)
