Has nobody mentioned David Gilmour of Pink Floyd? A true ledgend, and somebody who deserves his place in the history books!!
Gavin
Yeah, Dave was a bit of a dilemma for me, as I had already put two guitarists in the 70’s, and three would be pushing it a bit. I guess he really needs a lifetime achievement award, as he has been playing for such a long time.
Anyway, as I said in Post#1, it’s a purely personal thing, based upon whom I think has been most influential in that decade. And like him or not, I don’t think that anyone could argue that Hendrix was not influential.

Just don’t try watching any of their videos when you’re at work…..;)

NMU does appear to have issues with Windows 7 so might not suit everyone. My old school mate who has been spotting since the 60’s and has well over 100,000 numbers (he only does military) just does all of his stuff on Excel.
It can do all kinds of clever stuff, I use it all the time for Heathrow sightings as I can see the 27 approach from my daughter’s kitchen window. Quick download off the H & G movements site into Excel, sort by time, match with what I’ve seen and bingo! there’s my log. Getting lazy in my old age but maybe I’ve earned it….;)
Of course I have yet to convert 35 years of paper into a database; all those Caravelles; 😎
Just have a play around with Excel, it’s one of the easier programmes to manipulate once you get used to it.
Anglia for me too – DLM166C, a 997cc de Luxe model (which meant it had two colours of paint and chrome trim) Bought it in 1977 off a guy who had spent so much getting through the MOT he had to flog it to pay the welder 😀 It would do 65 on a flat road, less up hills….
Kept it for one year and then traded up (?) to a Cortina.
Opel Kadett? Brilliant cars, we had one in 1980, in Pistachio Green, we called it Kermit.

The reviews that I have read so far seem to agree that it’s something that would be more of interest to diehard Jimi fans as much of it is from his experimental phase, when he was forming Gypsy Sun and Rainbows, and departing from what would be regarded by most as his classic material.
Funnily enough, I was listening to Planet Rock today whilst decorating (AC/DC is so good for rollering to 😀 ) and they played ‘Fire’ with that immortal line “Move over, Rover, and let Jimi take over………….”
Gotta love that boy 😎

Very nice pictures! Welcome to the madhouse 😀
That Caravelle would have been Tony de Bruyn’s. I was last at Wevelgem in the 1970’s when it was very different to look at. Super friendly people there, as indeed all over Flanders.
A mate of mine was a flying spanner on DAS Air 707’s many years ago and he told me that there are three things that, if defective, will always keep any aircraft on the ground – galleys, aircon and bogs. Comfort is everything 🙂
Cats, and how to remove them.
If your car was registered after 1st August 1992 you must have the Cat present and working for the MoT. Previously registered cars can have the Cat permanently removed.
:p

Be very careful what you say, he reads this forum and he’s also an attorney….;)
A Leopard Moth over Woburn Sands around lunch time
That would have been G-ACMN which took to the skies today out of DX.
