    RE: New Look For BE

I think i tend to agree, the colour scheme is good, but i think mabe they should stick at being a regional carrrier, and drop the low-cost idea. Keep thinking of Debonair, 146s ,business class (i think). they could not compete.

    RE: easyjet Cabin Crew

I fly with Easyjet quite abit out of LPL. I recently flew LPL-AMS-VRN. Interestingly both Easyjet flight to and from Amsterdam were on time, where as Air Dolomite were over an hour late on their outbound AMS-VRN service. I have also flown a couple of weeks ago LPL-CDG-MAN. Again Easyjet on the outbound were on time, but Air France back to MAN, over an hour late.

    RE: Ryanair

Seen more articles in local press regarding Keenair’s proposals they seem tobe planning this with another airline new to Liverpool. Also they are advertising for staff for the route in the Travel Trade Gazette.

    RE: Ryanair

In my opinion EZY operating LPL-LGW could work as Easyjet are very good in promoting their routes. Gatwick is a more attractive arrival point for Liverpool passengers than the Luton service they had operated a while back, even though that was popular. I think BA’s MAN-LGW service would be down graded as a result, especially as BA have much less transfer posibilities available at LGW these days.

Having said all this I have just read that local carrier Keen air are looking at LPL-LCY, and are advertising for flight crew for the route. Will sit back and wait !

    RE: Are You Orange

Remember Debonair they used 146s for the most part and it didnt work for them, they kind of lost the plot because they wanted to be a low-cost no frills airline, but I seem to recall that they offered free drinks & food ?

    RE: EI

I have flown EI to Boston from Manchester Connecting and clearing customs in Dublin. They were good and their new A330, look great inside and out. Food, in-flight serice etc about average. The good thing with them is flying via Dublin is far less hassle then going to LHR for the US. However, because of Ireland’s position being on the west most tip of Europe, I couldnt see long-haul flights to the far-eat etc (if they were available) being as popular for connecting because people have the feeling you are flying back on yourself.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-06-02 AT 08:28 AM (GMT)]I haved flown US airways twice MAN-PHL-MSY as I think they are good better than AA for food, comfort and in-flight entertainment (seat back screen) . If you travel on one of their A330s, they are very nice. Having said that once you are on the domestic flights they are all pretty much the same as any other American carrier. Have a good time.

    p.s I have never paid for head-phones

I saw the program also, found it very interesting, such a shame more time was not given to the prodject, im sure British avaiation would be very different today. First plane I ever went on was a Dan-air Comet 4

i used to like the DC 8 as well, some of them seem unfeasably stretched !! I used to like the old CP Air livery, who also flew this type. Great pic by the way

    RE: Sheffield Airport.

Its not Palma, its Faro (Algarve) during the park summer season and it operated by Transun using a SATA International 737. Its the first direct holiday flight from Inverness Airport, so maybe there is a chance for Sheffield.
