Do CSA promote guitar “plectrums” 😀 seems so with the shape behind CSA ……………..damned horrid design imho.
Plans for the area are as follows:
BAA has plans for “Heathrow East” which is a clone of T5. When this grows beyond the initial T1/T2/Queens Bldg replacement it will put pressure on BA to vacate the Cathedral but as this is the most flexible and useful hangar on the airport the price will be high and it will need to be replaced. The Virgin hangar is likely to go first from what I can see of the development proposals.
T6 will be at Harmondsorth north of the A4 and outside the existing airport boundary if the BAA succeed in getting planning permission for the third runway. A terminal on the BA maintenance area would not help other than as a satellite of Heathrow East.
Apparantly according to cabincrew.com Monarch’s oldest 757’s G-MONB/C are being retired before summer 2008
Im not really suprised at that,i flew on NB in 1983,rumers were thant NB ither went to Boeing or Duxford,IMHO Boeing will get the airframe as they want to inspect it in NDT for hours and cycles, as it’s the highest houred 757 in the world……………time will tell as to the disposal of the airframes.
Well Ren,the engine mounts on the Trident are licenced parts of sud aviation (Caravelle era although DH gave the Caravelle the flightdeck section under licence so one for you one for me so to speak),ill show ya the plates when you pop in the avp and visit WZK . .
without doubt the best looking airliner ever built
Yeah and British, apart from the stab (Sud Aviation France)
Also from good information the TriStar’s are gonna be converted to “glass” flightdecks!
Ren,not all of the TriStar’s were BA ones.Three were Pan Am .
IMHO,put yer copyright name just under the landing gear.Impossible to remove without bad blemishes.:D tahts why i do it!!:D
Lets have the link…………..and have some fun with the fraudster!!
The Nimrod was introduced in 1969 if my memory serves me correct,The VC-10 was introduced to the RAF in 1966,if anyone can correct me please do,im a civil person at heart.:D
and are BAe Systems supporting the VC-10?
They are indeed,if not the aircraft would be grounded.Bear in mind they will fly untill 2015,Says it all about a tough built British aircraft!:D
don’t ask me why civil aircraft don’t do this,
Trident’s did have rear facing seats,on the Tri3 there are only two rows rear facing,on the Tri 1 and Tri 2 all seats from door two to the overwing exits faced rearwards.:D By the way a good freind of mine is a training captain on the RAF VC-10 fleet he says the “best” ex airline Supers are the ex East African aircraft (they have lower hours) and were fitted with the cargo door as standard. He says the ex BA ones are not that good and are high houred!!:D
Here are some of his traning sortie pics,

By the way he posts as VFB (Vickers fun bus ) on other forums.:D
