    Very interesting shot,as the aircraft has the BOAC speedbird on it as well as the Air France livery which leads me to the registration F-WTSA which was used during the proving/noise testing at JFK.:D

    Yes i have indeed,as i used to be a voulnteer there…superb model,i did ask if i could have it but you can guess what the answer was.Glad you like the Caravelle pics.My nan never flew til she was in her late 70’s and like your nan you couldnt keep her off the aircraft once she completed her first flight.:D

    Caledonian was sold by BA ….to Inspirations who later became became part of the Thomas Cook group in 1999 when Caledonian Airways was merged with the Flying Colours airline to form JMC Air Services, which in turn became the UK arm of the present day Thomas Cook Airlines.So who owns the Caledonian name??

    Sadly not it’s a BCal 707…

    EGTC re the Lauda Air 1-11’s…One of a pair of 1-11s were leased to Lauda in their early days the first being YR-BCM re regd OE-ILD and flew with the airline for a year.
