Cloud 9 ,yep the recycle begins once the aircraft has been parted out and interior fittings removed so it it then a shell ready for the munching.

Phantom Phil & Firebex,from the very start of the project i insisted that we removed every part of the aircraft in the same manner as i did with Trident 3B G-AWZK as this is really the only way it can be done,so the fin was removed in the same manner see image below,and the refitting will be the same as ZK.You will see a small butt strap over the cut area but once painted it will harldy be noticeable.

ZK fin prior to refitting.

PO cut very much the same..

Refitted,can you see the cut in the fuselage?

It is indeed a tail of an Inex Adria DC-9…..sadly the particular one in the photo is YU-AJR which collided with British Airways Trident 3B G-AWZT the same year this photo was taken….1976.
