Update from yesterday…
More panels fitted in the flightdeck..
Main gear doors dropped in preperation for flap removal…
A teaser of the flightdeck with the centre main panel fitted including moving map display…….more panels to fit on our next visit (for safety).
Tony and the lads washing….
The finished aircraft…
Pagen1, yes the Trident has a moving map display and luckily i have the roll too ref Rams horns….we were very lucky i knew BFS had G-AVFE but was unsure if the cotrols were still fitted.I asked Tony to contact the fire service and this he did and to our amazement they were still there, had FE not had them i know that the Trident 2E in Cyprus has them still fitted so if we had not got them from FE this would have been our next port of call.
Thanks for your comment’s ref restoration it’s appreciated.:D

Id love to be able to answer that question, but your guess is as good as mine!!
Hi all yes i did have a Trident (systems procedure trainer) located at the AVP,but when i was made redundant i was told i had to remove it (after it was agreed that i was going to operate it)….anyway due to lack of funds and lack of a storeage facility i had to scrap it.Anyway i have moved on to another Trident dismantle/rebuildand resotration project that i will not be banned from.
More info here…
XV231 this morning..
Correct….here is the proof.
The Trident 2E in question was B2218 ex (B-244) she went off the runway at Kai Tak’s runway in 1988,sadly all flighdeck crew and and one passenger died.
Blue 2 yes they were painted out for fire training…oh thank’s for your comment’s all..:D
