Excellent shots Neil, have you got any dates for these, we must have stood next to each other at some point. I swear I took the exact same shots with my trusty Zenith-E, before they went off to the great landfill in the sky.
Sadly the slides are not Kodachrome…(Fuji film) and the dates are not on them……i didnt put em on them sadly!! and yes we may well have crossed paths or stood in the same position….

I hate to come over all pedantic, Neil, but that 1-11 is in pre-merger Caledonian livery.

I saw one re titled 757 at MAN a couple of weeks ago…i tend to agree that hopefully sommin nicer is in the pipeline!

Final shot from today….

Great shot…i too remember very well the first 757 to be delivered way back in 1983,and i was lucky enough to fly on G-BIKS and G-BIKF in the early 1990’s.:D
Let me give you all some history on the Negus & Negus livery….part of the design feature was that one the incorporation of both BEA and BOAC both livery’s were to be incorporated in the new design….hence the halved speedjack of BEA…the blue belly of BOAC and incorporation of the speedbird! much argument was had over the livery by BEA to keep the red wings but this was overruled and the grey wings adapted. What else we must remember was airways was dropped in early 1983 by the then CEO and the bold BRITISH was adopted………….so imho British livery on the last 757 is very approate and historical…..well done BA!
Here she is….

Very nice to see the old Negus & Negus livery once again…

I’m not normally one for airliners, having worked them for many years as an Engineer for a major UK Airline, however this morning found me visiting your excellent website – and noticed a friend of mine. If you havent already made contact with him, Colin Rule, the Engineer on your Tridents last flight, can be found split between Popham and Lasham Gliding Society.
Hi Fournier,i have known Captain Colin Rule for 15 odd years and i am in contact with him…:D
The Boeing 747 is far better looking than the Hippo A380 imho..lol but we all have our likes and dislikes eh 😀
Cheers B,as you well know i wouldnt p on the AVP or RVP as it is now called if it were on fire…:D
