Now I know whence undertook: «3,100 nm (3,570 miles; 5745 km) ferry range with CFTs and drop tanks» :p
Range of flight F-15С:
Without DT (6105 kg) – 2200 km
1 DT (6105 kg + 1800 kg = 7905 kg) – 2850 km
2 DT (6105 kg + 3600 kg = 9705 kg) – 3500 km
3 DT (6105 kg + 5400 kg = 11505 kg) – 4150 km
CFT (6105 kg + 4265 kg = 10370 kg) – 3700 km
CFT + 2 ПТБ (6105 kg + 4265 kg + 3600 kg = 13970 kg) – 5000 km
CFT + 3 ПТБ (6105 kg + 4265 kg + 5396 kg = 15766 kg) – 5680 km
Fighter Su-27 can bear about 8000 kg. bombs and rockets
Su-34 is capable to take about 12000 kg. bombs and rockets.
How many can bear F-15E? What weight of bombs and rockets in this photo?
😎
Paralay, really?
The F-15E was not designed and introduced into service to fight Iraq or Serbia. It was created to fight the Warsaw Pact – an entity with considerably more air defences than NATO, including the USA, ever had.
Yes! F-15E at least it was once applied against the country of the Warsaw Pact? Let’s argue not by words, and on affairs. 😉
F-15E It is calculated on struggle against the weak opponent (Yugoslavia, Iraq, and so forth), it is applied when antiaircraft defence of the opponent is destroyed.
Su-34 It is calculated on struggle against the equal opponent on force (NATO, China). For this purpose it has an armour cabin of pilots, an account fuel tank and some other elements (1480 kg).
For Americans war is a business. For Russian – tragedy
F-15E, range of flight:
Without DT (5952 kg) – 1500 km
1 DT (5952 kg + 1800 kg = 7752 kg) – 1950 km
2 DT (5952 kg + 3600 kg = 9552 kg) – 2400 km
3 DT (5952 kg + 5400 kg = 11352 kg) – 2800 km
CFT (5952 kg + 4265 kg = 10217 kg) – 2600 km
CFT + 2 DT (5952 kg + 4265 kg + 3600 kg = 13817 kg) – 3500 km
CFT + 3 DT (5952 kg + 4265 kg + 5396 kg = 15613 kg) – 3900 km
How range of 5580 km has been received? Whence undertake 6500 more kg? From the air tanker?
No love for 3 drop tanks and CFTs?
Has not understood a question
When did the Su-34 get a CFT? (And is it in service?)
When range of flight of 5200 km is required – then CFT will be started in manufacture. CFT for family Su-27 are developed in 1980.
Range of flight:
F-15E: 1900 km without pendant tanks, 2600 km with CFT, reracing range – 5580 km (without the weapon)
Su-34: 2850 km without pendant tanks, 3400 km with one pendant tanks, 3950 km with two pendant tanks, 4500 km with three pendant tanks (without the weapon).
Theoretically, 5200 km with two pendant tanks and CFT.
The maximum speed: F-15E: 1900 km/h with CFT, Su-34: 1900 km/h (Al-31F), 1950 – 2100 km/h (Al-31F +)
Which is fine, but if flexibility is a metric being compared between the 2 aircraft, then the F-15 wins.
Let’s compare figures! 😉
Dear sirs, do not worry for the Russian engineers. Russian apply radioabsorbing materials to the military technics from the end of the eightieth years. 😉
Frigate “Fearless”:
At strong counteraction of the opponent of a problem will execute Su-50 with the weapon in a bay
AESA Su-50: 2 units in 2011, 50 in 2012 – 2020…
YF-23 and T-50
Have you got a source for that? Has the Russian Ministry of Defence made an official announcement about this, showing photos of destroyed BUK installations etc…;)
Believe me, today this information any more no secret for many 😎
What would happen if the SAM sites had plasma stealth too?
Let’s fight on swords! 😀
This could explain why there is not so much information available on this plane, as it could be dedicated for SEAD/DEAD missions during first days of war along with other strategic tasks .And that could explain the very specific RCS reduction features for the penetration role (i.e. nose shape).
The form of nasal part Su-34 is probably dictated by plans of installation of system “Marabu” (plasma). Now this system or other measures on decrease signature are not established.
Paralay showed the hypersonic research project using a gutted Pheonix missile rebuilt fir research purposes. It’s an F-15B with a custom pylon attached. The F-15/Pheonix study was the F-15N-PHX which never made it past a mockup of the missile under an F-15A.
Then so:
